Mike and Mel, one of my favorite teams on the Race, have been eliminated. They got a cab driver who didn;t know where teh monkey statue was in Phuket, and instead of going to the zoo 9where else would it be?) they went to Patong Beach. The Stuntmen had to take a penalty of one hour because they violated some rules, and instead of finishing first and winning a trip to Hawaii, they finished thirrd behind Tammy and Victor and Jamie and Cara. Read the clue next time guys. Idol lost Michael Sarver, who sang "Ain't Too Proud To Beg," but Matt Giraud was with him in the bottom two, surprisingly.
Also, The Woz is finally gone on Dancing With The Stars, even the geek vote wasn't enough to save him this time. Too bad, he was highly entertaining, if you like bad dancing.

Random things to get this blog up to date
So, we lost Alexis Grace on Idol, who the judges decided not to save. He rendition of "Jolene" on country night just didn't cut it, at all. That's twice that someone got voted out singing that song. Note to future "Idols," On country night, don't sing "Jolene." Over on the Race, we lost Christie and Jodi. They finished last in the previous leg, so they were speed bumped, and had to do a task that just they had to complete. This is the best way to do it. Mark a team for elimination instead of having them beg for money. Especially in a place like India. Interesting leg though, the usual top teams finshed there, and the usual bottom teams didn't disappoint either. IMO, the next to finish last are Jen and Kisha. Just a hunch.
Alot of injuries in the DWTS ballroom, and Belinda Carlisle got voted off and lost the dance-off, a new format for this year. She was in the bottom with Steve Wozniak, who should really stick to computers. I think he goes this week. Too bad to, he could be entertaining. Bottom three, The Woz, Steve-O, and Ty Warren.

The Amazing Naked Race
The racers are still in Siberia, in which they have to do alot of fun tasks. It looks like Margie/Luke and Jamie/Cara are starting to work together, that can only benefit Jamie/Cara in the end. They already got Margie and Luke to UTurn Kris and Amanda and eliminate them from the race. After the tasks are done, the Racers have to run across town with a Russian marathon runner...not too hard right? Oh, and they have to do it in their undergarments. So here we have a bunch of bare-skinned Americans in about 10 degree weather (-4 celsius) running a race in Siberia in their undies. This ought to be good. Luke is the first one to leave, followed by Tammy and then Cara. Of course, the women get the catcalls, which motivates them. After they check in, they are followed by The Stunt Brothers and Mel and Mike. They show Kisha and Jen and Christy and Jodi still on the course. Kisha does the undie race, and gets alot of stares. 6 foot tall black woman in her undergarments doing a race? Enough to get the stares. Christie does the race for the last team, and is wearing a thong. She literally is freezing her ass off as it hangs out through the streets of Siberia. In the end, it was a non-elimination, which was sort of expected for the cold weather suffering.

On the Fence: Taj or Spence?
In the Tocatins, everyone's favorite castaways are still trying to stay alive. Taj and Steven are shown getting treemail, and Taj tells Steven there is an immunity idol somewhere on the tree mail stand. Taj finds it, and she doesn't have any pockets so she gives it to Steven, who said he's going to do everything in his power to hang on to it, because he feels that he possesses it, so it's his. Hey buddy, if Taj didn't tell you, you wouldn't have it you dope. At the challenge, Timbira sees that Sandy was voted off, to which Coach responds that it was just a matter of time. After winning another reward challenge, Jalapao chooses Brendan AGAIN, to which he chooses Steven. This raises a red flag with Timbira, who immediately make Brendan a target. Brendan and Steven bond and tighten up the alliance on Exile Island, while Jalapao and Timbira battle it out for immunity. Timbira wins, after JT loses a tooth for Jalapao, and Taj and Spencer basically give no effort at all. It's between those two, but ultimately, Spencer gets the boot.
Down to 11
The first cuts are always the deepest, especially on Idol, where the first people cut don't get to go on tour. This year, the judges made it a top 13, and two of the bottom four people were all wild-cards, with Jasmine and Anoop. The judges also get to save someone from being voted off, but the week after the save is used, two people will go. They can only use it once this season, so use it wisely. On to the show. It was Michael Jackson night on Tuesday, and due to a meeting I missed the show, but it was one i would have like to have seen. I should have DVR'd it. Oh well. The bottom two girls were Jasmine and Megan, who sang "I'll Be There" and "Rockin' Robin" respectively. Out of all the songs, you choose those two? Jasmine received the least amount of votes, and was sent packing. She wasn't saved. The bottom two guys were Jorge and Anoop, and after the nationwide vote, Anoop, you are safe. Jorge is not saved, and that's your show. I thought that Jorge would at least make it past the first round, but hey, that's what happens when you have a lousy song choice. Ed out.

Dancing with the semi-Stars
This show got underway last night, as we had to DVR it. Some of the stars competing this season include the ex-wife of Charlie Shhen, Diane Richards; the greatest defensive player to ever play the game of football Lawrence Taylor; jackass steve-O; Seve Wozniak, cofounder of Apple Computers; and Olympic silver medalist Shawn Johnson. Good cast, but dancing talent? Not so much yet. The best one of the night was jilted bachelorette Melissa Rycroft, who is cashing in on her 15 minutes. Of course, she's alos a former Dullass Cowboys cheerleader, so she has dancing experience. My prediction on who is the first to go: Steve Wozniak. He's just not as popular as some of the others. L'il Kim and Steve-O round out the bottom three, but in the end "The Woz" just doesn't have enough of a following.
Bobsledding for a clue
The Amazing Racers had to leave Romania and travel to the cold confines of Siberia. There, they had to build a wall of wood or put together some shutters on a house, both tasks that Siberians do to keep warm in the nasty cold weather. After completing either task, racers were then instructed to take a cab to an amusement park style place, where they had to race down the hill in under 4 minutes while trying to watch for letters which spelled the name of a famous Russian author. The teams all got there after talking to their taxi drivers in Spanish, and completed the task. Margie and Luke, before completing the bobsled, decidd to use the blind U-Turn to make another team complete both the shutter task and the wood stacking task. Who did they use it on? Amanda and Kris. Not a bad move, considering they were a strong team. Luke had trouble completing the bobsled, however. For some reason he could not get the correct answer, Chekhov, to the puzzle. In the end, it was Amanda and Kris who indeed got eliminated. A side note, we were watching "School of Rock" with Jack Black before this episode started, and noticed that the actor who plays Ned Scneebly is Mike, of Mike and Mel. That's cool.
